Welcome and congratulations on your student’s acceptance. In an effort to help you support your son/daughter’s transition into New York University and NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, this page provides up-to-date information about resources for parents including links to the NYU First-Year Parents site, Next Stop NYU, the parents’ e-newsletter, opportunities for parent involvement, and frequently asked questions.

Parents of both traditional undergraduate and accelerated students will benefit from this information, with NYU First-Year Parents and Next Stop NYU geared specifically for parents of traditional undergraduate students.

**NYU First-Year Parents**\
[The NYU First-Year Parents site](http://www.nyu.edu/community/parents/new_parents.html) provides helpful information dedicated to first-year parents who have questions about meal plans, housing, moving and storage, tips on how to stay connected with NYU during your son/daughter’s studies, and much more.

**Next Stop NYU – Traditional Undergraduate Students**\
Throughout the summer, [Next Stop NYU](http://www.nyu.edu/students/undergraduates/getting-started-at-nyu.html) provides your son/daughter a central online resource to obtain information about important announcements, dates, mailings, and other vital information to help ease the transition and arrival to New York University. Your son/daughter can also expect to receive a separate communication from NYU Meyers about important next steps before arriving on campus.
