NYU Tandon's entrepreneurship initiatives are bridging engineering research, education, and innovation.
As problem-solvers, engineers are inherently innovators. Even if you never plan to start a company, understanding best practices for inventiveness, creativity, and entrepreneurial and design thinking can be valuable for your life and career.
NYU Tandon offers a range of resources to help faculty and students bring new ideas to life — and to market, if that’s the goal — from educational opportunities to ideation support to incubation, including networking, funding opportunities, and space and equipment.
NYU Tandon integrates innovation and entrepreneurship into our academic culture and advances student and faculty skills through a wide range of activities including:

Education
Entrepreneurship education is integrated throughout the NYU Tandon experience. Whether through experiential learning opportunities or programs like the Engineering Innovation Minor, students acquire knowledge and experience in entrepreneurial thinking.

Ideation
Linking the NYU Tandon community to the broader NYU entrepreneurship ecosystem through competitions and events such as workshops, guest lectures, and tech talks.

Incubation
Connecting faculty and students with the NYU Tandon Future Labs and their programs including A/X Venture Studio, Urban Future Lab and Data Future Lab, as well as with programs across all of NYU.

NYU-Wide Initiatives
Entrepreneurship at NYU\ a clearinghouse for all things entrepreneurial at NYU, including the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute and the Leslie eLab.
NYU Stern's Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship\ nurtures NYU entrepreneurs by providing training, advising, resources, and funding for high-potential founding teams.
Tech Venture Program\ funds and supports technology commercialization by teams of NYU faculty, Ph.D. students, postdocs, and researchers. Participating teams are eligible to receive grant funding up to $101,000.
Technology Opportunities & Ventures\ is the technology commercialization unit of New York University and NYU Langone Health.
Endless Frontier Labs\ is a structured 9-month mentoring program that provides founders with resources, support, and advice to optimize your chances for success.

InnoVention
InnoVention is a prototyping competition that challenges NYU students to prototype and pitch commercially viable ideas for real-world problems.
NYU Prototyping Fund
NYU Prototyping Fund awards funds to teams of students to build hardware or software prototypes, and connects them with the resources, tools, and mentors they need to bring their ideas to life.
NYU Translational Healthcare Initiative
Turn your research into a viable venture with up to $120,000 of non-dilutive funding for prototyping plus one year of hands-on coaching from NYU Tandon Future Labs.

New York Business Plan Competition\ The New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) is an annual Statewide Competition featuring student teams from all of New York State, begining with 10 regional competitions.
