Programs supported: Audiology, Biomedical Sciences, Counselling, Dentistry, Human and Nutrition Sciences, Midwifery, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Social Work, Speech Pathology.\

Unite with fellow Psychology students to socialise, gain support from a senior student and share the experience of settling in at UQ.\

Mentor eligibility: Current Year 2 or above BPsySc (Hons), BA (Psychology) or BSc (Psychology) students. Mentors must have completed at least 4 Psychology units.\
Mentee eligibility: First semester Psychology students enrolled in BPsySc (Hons), BA (Psychology) or BSc (Psychology).

My Student Guide program connects commencing students with experienced UQ students, who kindly volunteer their time to support new students in the lead up to Orientation. \

As a mentor in the Young Achievers Program, you will provide support and inspire students to set and achieve their personal and educational goals for 1 to 2 years. \

Young ChangeMakers is a 4-day program that brings together Year 11 students interested in leadership and innovation. As a mentor, you'll be a role model for these students while building your confidence, leadership and teamwork skills.\

The UQLS Law Buddy program helps new Law students make the transition to uni life. \

[Indigenous Tutorial Assistance and Retention (ITAR) Program](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p43)
The ITAR program provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with supplementary academic tutoring, either one-to-one or in small groups, in subject-specific areas with a qualified tutor. \

[UQ MD Personal Advisor Network](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p12/about)
The Personal Advisor Network (PAN) provides targeted and individualised support for medical students and fosters a spirit of community and connectedness.\
\
Mentor eligibility: UQ staff member or affiliate who is an academic, clinician and/or researcher in the field of medicine or who has experience in working with medical students.\
Mentee eligibility: All medical students in Years 1 and 2 and onshore medical students in Years 3 and 4.
[Ochsner Medical Societies](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p32/)
Medical Societies provide structure for longitudinal educational advising and coaching for students from both faculty and peers. Societies are also social units organized to promote a sense of community within the larger Ochsner Clinical School/University of Queensland (UQ/OCS) cohort. Each medical society is led by a faculty member, the Society Head, who was chosen for expertise in advising and coaching. \

Mentee eligibility: Phase 1 & 2 UQ Oschner medical students.
## Career & industry programs
[HASS Connect Mentoring Program](https://hass.uq.edu.au/hass-industry-mentoring-program)
This program connects Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) coursework students with HASS alumni and professionals to explore career options and goals.\
\
Mentor eligibility: HASS alumni and industry professionals from any location\
Mentee eligibility: HASS coursework students, including dual degree and honours students, in second year or above (for undergraduate students), and HASS postgraduate students.\
[EAIT Industry Mentoring Program](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p5)
This program connects engineering, architecture and IT students with professionals to motivate, encourage, empower and transform the next generation of specialists.\
\
Mentor eligibility: Industry professionals and alumni in the engineering, architecture and IT sectors. \
Mentee eligibility: Engineering, architecture and IT students in the second-last or last year of their university program.
[BEL Career Mentoring Program](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p14)
This program aims to help current BEL students make the transition from uni to the workforce.\

Mentor eligibility: Professionals, Industry & Alumni\
Mentee eligibility: Final year undergraduate and all postgraduate students, excluding MBA students
[UQ MBA Mentoring](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p8)
This program assists UQ MBA students with career development and transitions, connecting them with alumni and industry mentors based on shared interests and areas of speciality. Benefiting from the advice and perspective of mentors, the program provides students with an opportunity to develop skills that go beyond the classroom. \\

[Pharmacy ITP Mentoring Program](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p44/)
Current interns of the University of Queensland Pharmacy Intern Training Program (ITP) are matched with recent UQ ITP graduates and early career pharmacists in a mentor-mentee relationship. Early career pharmacists share their knowledge and experience to support their mentees through their intern year. \

Mentor Eligibility: Recent graduate of the UQ ITP and currently working in pharmacy. \
Mentee Eligibility: Current student/ intern within the UQ ITP. \

The Liveris Academy Mentoring Program connects the leaders of today with the most talented and passionate minds of tomorrow. \

Engage in entrepreneurial skills and mindset by connecting with founder and investor mentors across ventures programs and events.\

Mentor eligibility: Startup founders, expert service providers and investors\
Mentee eligibility: All students and UQ alumni
[Ventures ilab Accelerator](https://ventures.uq.edu.au/programs/ventures-ilab-accelerator)
Ventures ilab Accelerator is a three-month intensive program that supports founders in building their startup or social enterprise.\
\
Mentor eligibility: Startup and social enterprise founders, industry experts, and investors. \
Mentee eligibility: At least 50% of the co-founding team must have a UQ connection: student, staff, or recent alumni (in the past 10 years).
[ScienceLink - Mentoring Program](https://mentoring.app.uq.edu.au/p/p36/pages/62499)
The ScienceLink – EMCA Mentoring Program is a flexible career mentoring program that connects Early-Mid Career Researchers and Academics with Senior Researchers and Academics within the Faculty of Science. The program involves working in a one-on-one mentoring connection over a period of 6 months to guide and support the mentee’s professional and personal development in a way that is relevant and meaningful to them.\
\
Mentor eligibility: Membership as a mentor is open to Level C, D & E Academics within the Faculty of Science\
Mentee eligibility: Membership as a mentee is open to Early to Mid-Career Academics within the Faculty of Science. This includes Teaching and Research, Research Focused (e.g. postdocs, research fellows), Teaching Focused, and Clinical Academics.
