Full-time study load
60 credits at Exeter is equivalent to 8 UQ units.
Host university requirements
GPA\ You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at Exeter.
Study Options\ Not applicable to this university. However, you are required to choose at least 50% of your courses in one subject area to minimise timetable clashes.

Additional academic information
Course Numbering\ The first 3 letters of the code refer to the subject area and the 4th character is a number between 1-3, which signifies the year of the module, e.g. ARC2XXX means Archaeology 2nd year undergraduate module, or POL3XXX means Politics, 3rd-year module.\ An undergraduate degree in the UK typically lasts three years.
- Modules listed as 1 are mainly for first-year students.
- Modules listed as 2 will build on the principles taught in year one. Even if no prerequisites are listed, you should check that you have the relevant knowledge.
- Modules listed as 3 are for final year, undergraduate students.

Accommodation
If you are studying at Exeter for a full year you are guaranteed a space in university housing. There are a limited number of places available for single-semester exchange students and applications are processed in order of the date of receipt.
Cost of living
Exeter's International Student Guide provides a breakdown of estimated average living costs which students can expect to encounter while on exchange.

Financial support
A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.
Students studying at Birmingham can apply for a scholarship through BUTEX. BUTEX offers a number of £500 scholarships to students studying on exchange at member institutions.
Insurance
Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ’s Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

If you plan to travel outside of your host country, you should purchase additional insurance.
Students are not required to purchase additional health insurance. Students studying in the UK for less than 6 months will not be eligible for the National Health Service.

Organise your visa
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

Travel risk levels
The University of Queensland cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with a risk level of 3 (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.
If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
