Charles University was founded in 1348, making it one of the oldest universities in the world! Today, CU is a world-class institution of higher education, the largest and most renowned Czech university. It is a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented and outward-looking institution, located in the heart of Prague.

The Vlatva river is the soul of Prague. The embankment is a popular part of community life, with markets, sports and exhibitions taking place there throughout the summer. Take a stroll over one of the 30 bridges spanning the river and look out at the thousand spires dotting the city’s skyline.
