What to expect
- You will receive a welcome pack
- meet other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying at UQ,
- meet ATSIS Unit staff and your Student Success team,
- have the opportunity to sign up for our free tutoring program: ITAR,
- learn about scholarships, financial support and other important programs,
- learn useful study tips and tricks,
- and meet our Student Collective group: Goorie Berrimpa.
Getting Started appointments
The ATSIS Unit offers new students a chance to register for a one-to-one ‘Getting Started’ appointment with a member of our Student Success team during O-Week and the first week of the semester. Book an appointment for an introduction to all that the ATSIS Unit has to offer and for help on your learning journey. Appointments are available in-person or online.
