Orientation is 2 weeks of events and activities held every semester for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and HDR candidates.
This is your gateway to essential resources, faculty sessions, orientation events, important services, and deadlines for a successful start at UQ.
Faculty welcome sessions
Each faculty hosts welcome sessions for new students. During these sessions you will have the opportunity to find out about your programs, connect with other students, attend expos and social events and get advice from current students and staff.

Orientation event program
The orientation event program is split over two weeks, O-Week and Connect Week, and held at the beginning of every semester. Events take place at St Lucia, Herston, Dutton Park and Gatton.
O-Week and Connect Week
O-Weekprovides academic activities across all campuses and online, introducing you to university life. Connect Week occurs in Week 1 of your semester, and features events and networking opportunities to help you meet and connect with others.
