Enrichment Badges are intended to recognise the personal and professional development you have gained through your participation in a range of UQ enrichment programs and experiential learning activities.

Digital Enrichment Badges contain verified metadata describing the activity and how you earned the badge. You can use the digital badge on social media platforms, digital resumes, and email signatures to help you to communicate your particular competencies, capabilities and attributes.

The Get Set Mentoring Program is designed to help new students connect,with peers, mentors and the wider community. Volunteer mentors guide new UQ students through the first 6 weeks of semester, sharing tips for study and campus life.  Mentors empower and support new students to navigate university life and settle into their studies.

Student-Staff Partnership Projects connect students and staff as equal partners and collaborators on projects that seek to enhance the UQ community - effecting positive change within the teaching and learning, student experience and governance/strategy environments. Students engage in up to 21 weeks of collaboration on their project in their partnership teams.

The EAIT Leaders Extension Program is a diverse community of highly-engaged undergraduate and postgraduate coursework student leaders within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and IT, aiming to develop their leadership skills, contribute to the University and improve the student experience for others.  Students are invited to join the program after completing the Leaders a EAIT pathway program.

Students continue their journey of leadership and development through shaping and assisting with the delivery of events, representing EAIT at faculty engagement and student experience sessions, mentoring and providing guidance to Leaders at EAIT pathway participants, and attending regular training and debrief sessions to reflect on their leadership growth.

The Get Involved Volunteering program connects students with meaningful on-campus volunteering opportunities aligned with their personal interests and career goals. Through volunteering, students broaden their social and professional networks, develop communication and collaboration and leadership skills and make a positive impact with the wider UQ community.

Through completion of a minimum of 10 hours of Get Involved Volunteering, students have demonstrated their ability to:

The Summer and Winter Research Programs provide opportunites for students to engage in research-related activities alongside some of the University's leading academics and researchers.  \ The Summer Research Program runs for 6 weeks in January and February and the Winter program runs for 4 weeks in June and July.  Tasks can include: ethics applications, data collection, survey design, literature reviews, data analysis using relevant software, report preparation, research presentation.

The Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT) Industry Mentoring Program connects penultimate and final year students studying engineering, architecture, and computing with established alumni and industry professionals. The program assists students with their career development and transition from university into the workplace, engaging business professionals in a mutually beneficial partnership.

My Career Adviser (MCA) is an online career development and employability platform to help students navigate their employability journey at UQ and future career path. Students work through a range of interactive resources and modules covering subjects such as career action planning, creating and refining a resume, preparing for job applications and interviews, and transition to work, and complete a capstone project for each of the 4 key topic areas.

The Business, Economics and Law (BEL) Recruitment Ready program is a six-week, industry partnered initative designed to help students confidently navigate real-world recruitment processes.  Targeted at mid-degree students, the program provides hands-on experience with industry standard recruitment and interview tasks, modelled on current professional practice.  Students receive personalised feedback throughout the program, supporting their preparation for competitive application processes for internships, vacation progams, work experience and graduate roles.

The Embassy Internship Program provides students with an interest in international culture and society, trade, diplomacy, international relations and business to experience work in a diplomatic environment over the Summer and Winter breaks.  Students engage in a range of activities including: research, translation, event coordination, liaison with other diplomatic offices, and supporting day to day consular services such as passport and visa applications and public enquiries.

Careers 101 is a four week program which equips students with the foundational knowledge of career development topics including job searching and application preparation in Australia.

Students participate in weekly 2 hour workshops and complete an additional 7 hours of educational modules. This program culminates in a submitted Career Action Plan and a pitch to stakeholders. Students also engage in peer-learning opportunities facilitated through the interactive workshops, and through online discussion boards.

The Association of Postgraduate Students (APS) L.E.A.D  (Leadership, Exploration, Advocacy, and Development) program offers post graduate students a series of workshops and experiences conducted over six weeks, each focusing on essential skills such as resume building, elevator pitches, academic research presentation, entrepreneurship, and advocacy.  The sessions are designed to provide hands-on experience with expert guidance to enhance student employability.

The Science Leadership Development program mixes online modules with face-to-face events and covers a range of topics including what makes an effective leader, developing leadership within yourself, effectively leading others, respecting diversity, how to find and make the most of mentors, and how to mentor others.

The Science Leaders Academy is a diverse community of highly-engaged undergraduate and postgraduate coursework science students aiming to develop their leadership skills, contribute to the University and improve the student experience for others.  The Science Leaders Award recognises students who have actively engaged and completed at least 75 hours of leadership activity, represented their peers through committee participation, student voice and providing feedback, and undertaken personal and professional development through training, workshops, modules, social events and professional roles.

The Career Advancement Program is a four week intensive professional development experience combining in-person workshops, online learning, and industry engagement. Students refine career goals, build professional skills, and complete mock interviews and real-world projects.

Students participate in weekly in-person 2 hour workshops, and complete online educational modules. Students also engage in peer-learning opportunities facilitated through interactive workshops, and online discussion boards, and connect and network with industry partners.

The Leaders at EAIT program offers a structured pathway for students to develop their leadership potential and professional capabilities. It combines flexible online learning with dynamic face-to-face experiences to build both personal and professional leadership skills.

Students engage in a range of activities including an online industry panel workshop, an in-person skills development session, three online learning modules and leadership action peer mentoring groups focussed on applying and reflecting on the module content.  Finally, students attend a two day professional development conference, where they consolidate their learning and strengthen their leadership practice.

The BEL Career Mentoring Program (CMP) connects students with industry and alumni mentors to build career confidence, professional identity, and employability skills.

Students take part in a structured, semester-long mentoring and employability development program. Key components include a minimum of four one-to-one mentoring sessions, guided career development activities, facilitated group sessions, and structured reflective exercises.

The UQ Cyber Security Internship Program offers Master of Cyber Security students the opportunity to participate in a year-long program, rotating through all cyber security functions at The University of Queensland, gaining broad, hands-on experience across each team.

Each intern experiences working in each of the cyber security functions at UQ for a duration of 11 weeks per team, under the guidance of a mentor. Interns will work on a range of operational and project-based tasks across the various teams including: Cyber Security Operations Centre; Cyber Security Risk and Assurance; Cyber Security Outreach and Culture and AUSCERT.

Participants attend monthly Skills Development sessions on topics such as Growth Mindset, Building Relationships, Accountability, and Career Goals.
