How do I access my StudentHub workflow?

Please see these instructions to help you find your StudentHub workflow.

I am not in my first year of study at UQ, can I still register and participate?

Yes.

You can register to participate at any time during your undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies.

Can I record and reflect on activities I completed before I registered?

Yes.

As long as these are recognised as eligible activities (as per the Activities Guide) and they were completed whilst you were enrolled at UQ.

How do I keep track of the hours I complete for the Work Experience and Volunteering categories?

We suggest keeping an offline log of your hours in a notebook or Excel document. Once you have finished your engagement with an organisation, you can record and reflect on your experience ‘as a whole’ in StudentHub. There is no need to record and reflect on each shift.

Can I complete my Work Experience and Volunteering hours across multiple organisations?

Yes definitely.

We understand that you may not be able to achieve 75 hours with one organisation so the hours can be accumulated across multiple organisations. When recording and reflecting on these in StudentHub you will just need to submit a separate form for each organisation as it is likely you will have different experiences at each.

Can I record two supplementary activities of the same ‘Activity Type’?

No.

The Supplementary Category is split into a range of Activity Types which all present an opportunity to develop a different set of capabilities. You must complete activities from five (5) different Activity Types.

Can I record an activity across two categories?

No.

You can only record an experience against one category.

No.

The Award program is designed to be flexible by allowing you to choose a variety of extra-curricular activities that may enhance your capabilities beyond your current academic studies.

I completed an activity as part of my degree (i.e. counted towards credit or professional practice requirements), can I record this for the Award?

No.

The program only recognises the personal and professional development you gain from extra-curricular activities you undertake. The only exception to the rule is going on a Global Student Exchange.
