# Parking at Herston

Students and staff must pay to park from **Monday to Friday between 7am and 9pm**. Parking is free outside these hours and on weekends.

## Parking options

- Students and staff can pay to park casually by the hour, with a capped daily rate. The rates are listed below.
- Staff can [apply for a fixed or flexible parking permit](https://about.uq.edu.au/campuses-facilities/parking-zones-rates-and-permits/permit-parking).
- [Persons with Disability (PWD) permit parking](https://about.uq.edu.au/campuses-facilities/parking-zones-rates-and-permits/accessible-parking) is free and is available in most zones.
- Visitors can use Brisbane City Council street parking.

## Service and commercial parking

- Free parking up to 2 hours for any service and commercially registered vehicles in designated bays.
- Drivers can also use loading zones (up to 30 minutes, unless otherwise signed).
- Construction contractors and sub-contractors cannot use these spaces and are subject to visitor rates.

#### Short-term loading vehicles (loading zones)

- Free parking for up to 30 minutes **at all times**.
