### Research Professor Zhu Miao was Awarded the Prize of “Final List Paper” at IEEE ICIEA 2015

The paper “Novel Single Phase Dynamic Voltage Restorer Based on DC-Modulation AC/AC Technique”, with Mr. Mathieu Jaskulke (French master student of Grade 2013) as the First Author and his supervisor Dr. Zhu Miao (Research Professor) as the Correspondence Author in Electrical Engineering Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was awarded the Prize of “Final List Paper” during the 10th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (IEEE ICIEA 2015) which was held on 15th ~ 17th June 2015 in Auckland, New Zealand.

The series conference IEEE ICIEA has been one of the major international academic activities sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society with its aim to display and exchange the latest R&D achievements and the frontier development trend. The current conference was organized by IEEE Industrial Electronics Singapore Chapter, University of Auckland, University of Canterbury etc. Nearly 400 papers have been accepted into the conference proceeding. Among these papers, five “Final List Paper” and one “Best Paper” have been selected after the anonymous review and recommendation by the “Technical Committee”, oral presentation and anonymous voting of the “Best Paper Award Committee”. The total awarding rate is within 1.5% only among the accepted papers.

This paper is one of the series achievements of long-term cooperation between Prof. Zhu Miao team and Prof. Dai Ningyi team in Power Electronics Group of Macao University. Meanwhile, the first author is one of the first batch full-time postgraduates from the western developed countries in the running history of Electrical Engineering Division of SJTU. The paper awarding displays not only the new development in the fields of power quality treatment and the advanced power converters, but also some initial achievements in the international cooperation and the postgraduate education of the full-time degree-seeking oversea students in the SJTU electrical engineering discipline.
