The 163th Master Distinguished Lecture: Applied Mathematics in The Era of Big Data

Professor Pingwen Zhang, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Vice President of Peking University, will give a lecture on “Applied Mathematics in the Era of Big Data”. Prof. Zhang will brief the history and development of applied mathematics, bring forward challenges in the new era, and present his thoughts on future development of applied mathematics in terms of education, problem solving, effectiveness checks and team building.
