There are two departments at the Faculty of Geosciences

Geography and Earth & Environmental Sciences

Munich Geography is committed to the motto "Researching, understanding and shaping change - globally, regionally and locally". The focus of geography at LMU is therefore on sustainable spatial development, environmental management and global change research.\

The Earth and environmental sciences at LMU cover the entire spectrum of geoscientific disciplines. The interdisciplinary research and teaching aims to provide in-depth scientific knowledge of planet Earth and its interrelationships in time, future and space.
