Programs Available for Selection

All BBA majors except GBUS^ and GBM\ ^Declaration of GBUS as additional major will take place at the end of Year 2 Fall, interested students please approach the GBUS Program Team for more information.

Eligibility

• Must already have a BBA major [GBM students are not eligible];
• CGA: 2.3 or above;
• Passed or have credit transfer for the following business core courses at the application term, including ACCT2010, ACCT2200, ECON2103/2113, ECON2123, FINA2303, ISOM2010, ISOM2020, ISOM2500, ISOM2600, ISOM2700, MARK2120, MGMT2110, MGMT2010, MATH1003/1013/1020/1023;
• Students who are at the end of Year 2 are eligible to apply (after 4 terms for first year entry students, and after 2 terms for senior year entry students); and
• Students must be an active student at HKUST at the time of application.

Program Requirements and Ranking Criteria

The program requirements and ranking criteria for additional major are the same as those for major selection.

Additional Major Quota

Notes:

Unfilled additional major quota in Spring 2026 will be carried forward to Spring 2027, together with unfilled major quota in Fall 2026.

Notes:

Students will choose their additional major at the end of 4th term of study in Spring 2027. For Senior year entry students, they will choose the additional major at the end of 2nd term of study in Spring 2026.
