# Become a Proctor or Tutor

Proctors and Tutors are live-in employment opportunities that provide individuals employed by or enrolled in a graduate/professional program at the University the chance to get to know, support, and advise undergraduate students. Proctors serve first-year students [living in Harvard Yard](/life-yard) and Tutors work with upper-level students (sophomores, juniors, seniors) living in  or one of the [twelve undergraduate houses](/houses).
