## Fellowship Application Information

1. Your application must be **complete** at the time of submission (i.e., ALL materials, including letters, must be submitted by the specified deadline).
2. For all of the fellowships, all of your materials will be submitted directly to GSAS through [CARAT](https://carat.fas.harvard.edu/)**,*****with the exception of a separate PDF of your two draft chapters for the DCF, to be submitted to the department only*****.**(See details below.)
3. Please be sure to give your recommenders plenty of time to prepare the letters before the deadline.
4. Recommenders will upload their letters directly into [CARAT](https://carat.fas.harvard.edu/); if they have difficulty with the uploading process, they should be in touch with the Graduate Program Assistant.
5. When applying for internal Harvard fellowships, students do not need to submit an official transcript from the Registrar’s Office. Instead, they may submit a copy of their grade report available online from [http://my.harvard.edu](http:/my.harvard.edu/). From *Student Home*, navigate to the *Grades*tab. Click *View Unofficial Transcripts*. **IF transcripts are requested from previous graduate programs**, the Fellowships Office asks that you please scan/photograph copies of your [PREVIOUS GRAD PROGRAM] transcripts to include in your application. They do need transcripts from all graduate programs.
6. Note: G1 students may submit their grade reports when they become available, which might be after the fellowship deadline. When submitting after the application deadline, do so directly to the [GSAS Fellowships Office](https://gsas.harvard.edu/financial-support/fellowships), rather than to the department.
