Assessment and Consultation
Assessment and consultation are critical components of effective prevention work in higher education. We provide evidenced-based community assessment tools and consultative services on best practices for reducing the likelihood of discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment, and other sexual misconduct in higher education.
Ongoing assessment of the community climate helps us understand the prevalence of harm (e.g., discrimination, bullying, harassment) across the Harvard community, identify gaps in existing programs, and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention efforts.
By seeking information through education, consultation, surveys, focus groups, and engagement in field research, we can gain insights into community members’ experiences, interests, and knowledge of resources. These efforts are essential to the design and implementation of community action plans that seek to continuously improve safety, inclusion, and belonging for the Harvard community.
