During Sophomore Orientation for the Class of 2028, you'll reconnect with your residential community, deepen your sense of purpose, and start your second year with clarity and confidence. Through House-based programming and a campus-wide kick-off, you’ll explore key resources, reflect on your goals, and build momentum for the year ahead. Schedule
Sophomore Orientation for the Class of 2028 is your opportunity to reconnect with your residential community, get ready for the year ahead, and start sophomore year with confidence. This year’s orientation focuses on meaningful, in-person experiences—where you'll meet your sophomore mentor, connect with peers, and explore resources to support your academic, social, and personal goals.
Crimson Connection Newsletter\ June–December (Email)
Crimson Connection is a 10-issue newsletter available from June through December, designed to support your sophomore journey. Each issue is delivered straight to your inbox and includes timely resources, advice, and important dates to help you reflect on your first year, build confidence, explore purpose, and prepare for concentration declaration.
Sophomore Move-In Day\ Thursday, August 28 (The Houses and Dudley Co-Op)
You’ll return to campus and move into your House or the Dudley Co-Op just before the start of Sophomore Orientation. Details about logistics, arrival information, and what to expect on move-in day will be shared on the Move-In webpage as they become available.
Residential Community Orientation\ *Friday, August 29 – Saturday, August 30 (The Houses and Dudley Co-Op)
Sophomore Orientation includes special events in your House or Dudley Co-Op designed to help you connect with fellow sophomores, meet residential staff, and get to know the unique traditions and community spirit of your residential area. You’ll also be introduced to your sophomore mentor and mentoring cohort. Between scheduled activities, you’ll have time to settle in, unpack, and enjoy some relaxed moments to hang out and explore with new friends.
*Each House and Dudley Co-Op will offer its own unique schedule within these dates, so watch for details from your residential community.
Sophomore Welcome Back Kick-Off\ Sunday, August 31 (Community-wide)
Kick off your sophomore year by joining a variety of fun social events designed to help you connect with fellow sophomores from across all residential communities. It’s a great chance to relax, meet new people, and start building your sophomore network before classes begin.
