ABLConnect is an online database of active learning efforts in post-secondary classrooms. ABLConnect is curated by the [Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning](http://bokcenter.harvard.edu) at Harvard University.
1. ABLConnect **lets educators easily search the ideas of others** in a structured way, reducing the costs of developing content and bringing active learning to their classrooms.
2. ABLConnect **collects resources and information** about specific activities, creating *a* common resource repository.
3. ABLConnect **helps collect data** on college-level teaching practices across academic disciplines.
ABLConnect caters to faculty, graduate student teaching assistants, post-doctoral students and anybody else teaching undergraduate, graduate, or professional students across every discipline. The site provides activities, lessons, and projects along with downloadable materials in a searchable online format. It also has video tutorials, interviews with instructors, links to valuable technology resources, and academic research summaries to back up various active learning approaches. Materials are contributed directly from instructors and come primarily from Harvard, but ABLConnect has also collaborated with [multiple other institutions](https://ablconnect.harvard.edu/teaching-partners "Partners"). \

ABLConnect was founded in 2012 by [Dustin Tingley](http://scholar.harvard.edu/dtingley), Professor of Government at Harvard University, and Leslie Finger, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government, initially with support by the [Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS)](http://www.iq.harvard.edu). ABLConnect has received financial and intellectual support from [the Harvard Initiative for Learning and Teaching (HILT)](http://hilt.harvard.edu/).
