The Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies (AFVS) is located in the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, which lies east of the Harvard University campus and the Harvard Square Red Line MBTA Stop; next to the Harvard Art Museums; one block north of Massachusetts Avenue between Broadway and Harvard Street, at 24 Quincy Street in Cambridge.

Building hours for the summer:

Closed on Memorial Day, May 29th

Closed on July 3rd and 4th

Closed on Juneteenth, June 19th

Monday through Saturday:  9:00-9:00

Sundays, 11:00-9:00

HFA Screenings are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday beginning June 9th and ending August 14th.  On those days the building is open until 11:00.
