\ In addition to their regular duties in the entryways, specialty proctors are responsible for providing class-wide programming in areas such as CARE (consent advocates and relationship educators), first-generation, interfaith and spirituality, public service, and more.
Culture & Community
We work in partnership and facilitate collaboration with the Office of Culture & Community (CC) within the Dean of Students Office. Culture & Community Proctors and Tutors align with the office’s programmatic and strategic priorities, which foster cultivation of bonds and bridges to enable all members of our community to grow with and learn from each other. They serve as liaisons for bringing programming, workshops, and support to their respective residential communities, and for providing consistent publicity and support for events organized by the Office of Culture and Community and the newly re-organized Harvard Foundation (HF).

Consent Advocacy and Relationship Educators (CARE)
We aim to promote consent in everyday life and healthy relationships so that all have an equitable experience on campus regardless of gender identity. We hope to serve as a first point of contact for any questions or concerns you may have about sexual assault or gender-based/sexual harassment, whether it involves you, someone you know, or the broader community. No concern or question is ever "silly" or "too small"; we are here to listen and help in whatever way we can. The CARE team has been trained on campus resources and the University-wide Title IX policy. We are committed to ensuring that all students have access to support services on or off campus.

Public Service
We are here to help you figure out how to approach public service opportunities and funding, incorporate service into your career path, and have fun with service activities on campus. While public service usually evokes an image of the political sphere or non-profit work, public servants work in medicine, teaching and academia, community organizing and activism, journalism, philanthropy, law, the arts, and much more. We’d like to be a resource for you to explore putting your interests and skills towards a greater purpose.
