### Major Overview
Biotechnology, an interdisciplinary field integrating biological engineering and life sciences, plays a critical role in advancing human health and welfare and is expected to become a leading sector in national growth and industrial progress. Life sciences, encompassing both foundational and applied disciplines, cross academic boundaries to develop new technologies, making it a prominent field of interdisciplinary study. This major is dedicated to cultivating globally competitive students with expertise in areas such as beauty, health, and functional foods. With a comprehensive perspective that includes K-beauty and Korean cuisine within the the Hallyu wave, the curriculum spans bio-life technologies, from bio-cosmetics to functional foods. Grounded in fundamental scientific principles, this program aims to develop professionals with a well-rounded, integrated vision.
