The Fourth Industrial Revolution is defined by advancements in cutting-edge information technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT), leading to a society driven by data intelligence and autonomy. What's particularly noteworthy is that these transformations are no longer confined to the realm of computers; they've begun to permeate every sector of society. In response, Yonsei University has established the Master's Program in Digital Analytics. This groundbreaking program is the first general graduate program within the university's Graduate School of Convergence Practical Studies. Its primary goal is to cultivate a new generation of interdisciplinary data scientists equipped with diverse skills in big data analysis and processing. Our graduate program brings together faculty from a wide array of disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, engineering, and medicine, all dedicated to imparting the specialized knowledge essential for an interdisciplinary approach to data science education. Accordingly, the curriculum extends beyond foundational programming and database courses. It offers a broad spectrum of subjects, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, text mining, natural language processing, and medical informatics. Furthermore, to ensure students are well-prepared for real-world challenges, the program provides practical training courses and opportunities for collaboration on industry projects, helping them seamlessly adapt to professional work environments.
