### Vision

The School of Integrated Technology within the College of Computing at Yonsei University was originally established in March 2011 as the Global Integrated Engineering Division under the College of Engineering. Its mission is to cultivate interdisciplinary leaders in advanced technological fields who can contribute to the sustainable development of humanity in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Through the horizontal integration of advanced technological domains—such as information technology, electronics, computer engineering, and nanotechnology—and the vertical integration with the humanities, social sciences, arts, and design, the school has nurtured globally minded leaders with a strong interdisciplinary perspective.\

In accordance with the Ministry of Education’s policy to expand enrollment in advanced technology fields, the Department of Mobility Systems was newly established in 2026 under the School of Integrated Technology. Together with the existing Department of Integrated Information Technology and Department of Intelligent Semiconductor Technology, it forms an interdisciplinary education system focused on emerging high-tech industries.
The Department of Mobility Systems focuses on education and research in future mobility technologies, including autonomous driving, connected vehicles, next-generation automobiles, aerospace systems, and robotics technologies. Its goal is to cultivate experts in next-generation mobility technologies that integrate mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and artificial intelligence.\
\
Located at Yonsei University’s International Campus in Songdo, Incheon, the School of Integrated Technology offers a highly globalized educational environment. With its proximity to Incheon International Airport, the campus provides excellent opportunities for international education and research collaboration. Currently, more than 2,500 students from 66 countries study in this diverse academic environment.
In particular, Yonsei Science Park (YSP) is building an innovation ecosystem through collaboration among industry, academia, research institutes, hospitals, and government. At the center of this ecosystem is Korea’s first IBM Quantum Computing Center, featuring a hybrid CPU–GPU–QPU integrated system, which enables a virtuous cycle of education, research, and innovation.
Along with these innovative infrastructures, the School of Integrated Technology offers an accelerated academic program (3 years of undergraduate study + 4 years of combined master’s and doctoral studies) designed to cultivate future mobility leaders with strong research capabilities and practical expertise.

### Research Areas

The Department of Mobility Systems conducts interdisciplinary research across a wide range of future mobility technologies, including:
:   To overcome the limitations of existing AI technologies, we focus our efforts developing core AI capabilities in three areas: LEarning, Architecture, and Perception. Our goal is to “Develop lightweight and efficient foundational core AI technology that cooperates with humans and uses knowledge and cognition” through offering 30 related AI courses through a specialized curriculum.

    - **Autonomous driving perception, decision-making, and control**  /
    - **Vehicle sensors, communications, and cybersecurity technologies**  /
    - **Automotive software and real-time systems**  /
    - **Electrified and eco-friendly vehicle technologies**  /
    - **Navigation and aerospace mobility applications**

At the undergraduate level, students build a strong foundation by studying key disciplines such as:
:   - **Programming and algorithms**  /
    - **Electronic circuits**  /
    - **Signals and systems**  /
    - **Dynamics**  /
    - **Robotics**  /
    - **Control systems**

    Students further strengthen their research and industry collaboration capabilities through individual research supervision, interdisciplinary research activities, and project-based learning.

In the software and systems fields, courses include:

    - **Advanced Algorithms**  /
    - **Real-Time Systems**  /
    - **Feedback Systems**  /
    - **Mechatronics Projects**  /
    - **Mobility Systems Projects**

In the electronics and communications fields, students study both theory and hands-on applications in areas such as:

    - **Sensors**  /
    - **Automotive Software and Electronic Systems**  /
    - **Microcontrollers**  /
    - **Discrete Signal Processing**  /
    - **Cybersecurity**

    In addition, students deepen their expertise in robotics and aerospace engineering, including topics such as robotics, reinforcement learning, and aerospace engineering.

These academic foundations naturally extend to graduate-level research areas, including:
:   - **Autonomous driving systems**  /
    - **AI-based vehicle decision-making systems**  /
    - **High-reliability automotive electronic systems**  /
    - **Electrified powertrains**  /
    - **Smart navigation and Personal Air Vehicles (PAV)**

The program is operated through close collaboration with industry and research institutions, including initiatives such as:
:   - **Hyundai Motor Group Industry-Academic Contract Program**  /
    - **Future Vehicle Core Technology Human Resource Development Program (I4FT)**  /
    - **Advanced Semiconductor Research Center (ASRC)**
