2. Attend Orientation

Attending orientation is highly recommended for freshemen in order to get information on getting settled in smoothly at Yonsei.
For undergraduate international students, [GBED](http://gbed.Yonsei.ac.kr) division will inform the details of the orientation. UIC students will be informed by [UIC college](http://uic.Yonsei.ac.kr). Please check the details at each college website.
For graduate international students, Graduate School office will inform the details of the orientation. Please check the details at [the Graduate School website](http://graduate.Yonsei.ac.kr "Graduate School website").
3. Course Enrollment

Course Enrollment is conducted through [the Yonsei Portal](http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr "Yonsei Portal"). All students must complete course enrollment individually within the designated period.
Before Course Enrollment, browse through the list of courses provided on the [Yonsei Portal > Course Catalogue](https://underwood1.yonsei.ac.kr/com/lgin/SsoCtr/initExtPageWork.do?link=handbList&locale=en "Yonsei Portal") and other relevant information such as syllabus and precautions located at the right side of the table.
Please check the orientation materials and email from your college or graduate school for the detailed course enrollment information.
4. Apply for Yonsei Student ID Card and Open a Bank Account

Yonsei University Student ID card can be used as a transportation card (rechargeable), debit card, access card for the libraries, and electronic attendance.
Application period will be open just before the new semester begins.

5. Foreign Resident Registration

Foreigners intending to stay in Korea for more than 90 days after entry are required to do Foreigner Registration at the immigration office.
Yonsei OIA(Office of International Affairs) will be operating group visa agency service(group application) to assist international students every semester, which is early March or early September when the new semester begins.

6. Update Your Information at the Yonsei Portal

If your address, mobile number, email address in Korea is determined, you are required to update your personal information at Yonsei Portal when the new semester begins.

7. Submit Documents for National Health Insurance

Newly admitted international students are required to upload the Agreement Form onto [Yonsei Portal](http://portal.Yonsei.ac.kr) for collection and usage of personal information intended for NHIS.
In the event of defaulting health insurance premiums, the NHIS will forward the records of arrears to the immigration office, and the immigration office restricts the extension of visas for such students. Thus, our school wishes to check the list of students in arrears. For such purpose, students are advised to submit the form.

8. Exploring Yonsei & Korea Safely
