In many cases, the hydroelectric plants that are on a river system have different owners. This means that how one generator operates its plant impacts other generators, because those decisions influence water levels at different points along the river. The student will work on this project in two capacities. First, the student will study and survey how rivers and water levels of this type are coordinated in-practice today. Second, the student will use simple examples to test new coordination and water-management schemes.
