Applications for the RISS 2026 cohort are open November 1 to January 21 at 3 PM EST.
Virtual information sessions will be scheduled throughout the fall. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to notified of special session!

2026 applications will be accepted through January 21 at riss.ri.cmu.edu.
The RISS 2026 Program will run from June 1 to August 9
Funding and support are available for both U.S. and international students. Check our FAQ page for program eligibility requirements.
The RISS application includes the following pieces:
a resume (2 pages or less)
transcripts (in English & clear)
recommendation (from an academic advisor)
statement of purpose (2 pages or less)
