Award Award Presentation of the prizes of the “Dr. Alexander and Dr. Rosemarie Bauer Foundation”
The prizes of the “Dr. Alexander and Dr. Rosemarie Bauer Foundation” have once again been awarded. The Foundation aims to support young scientists at the Faculties of Biosciences and Chemistry and Geosciences in alternating years. The prizes are to be used for a research grant for doctoral students or for an internship for Master's students. Funding is provided for a temporary research stay at an external laboratory in Germany or abroad. Four prizes were awarded:
To Sina Birkefeld (Master's student in the major “Developmental and Stem Cell Biology” ) to carry out a research stay at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia
To Elizaveta Chernova (Master's student Biochemistry) to carry out a research stay at the Institute for Protein Design at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA
To Veronika Dempf (Master's student in the major “Infectious Deseases”) for a research stay at the “Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) - Virological Medicine” at the University of Tokyo, Japan
and
to Kiara Kaeufer (PhD student with Prof. Thomas Greb, COS) to carry out a research stay at at the Institute for Plant Sciences at the University of Bern, Switzerland
