## Chemistry
The first chemical studies in Heidelberg took place as early as 1784, when Georg Adolf Suckow (1751-1813), Professor of Mathematics, Natural History, Chemistry and Botany, was put in charge of the natural history collections of the "Hohe Kameralschule", which had been transferred from Kaiserslautern to Heidelberg.
