# Study and Teaching Quality management in Study and Teaching

Good teaching is important to us and close to our hearts. The Faculty of Biosciences is aware of its responsibility for the development and assurance of quality in studying and teaching. In cooperation with the **heiQUALITY Center** of Heidelberg University, the Faculty implements the quality management system **heiQUALITY.**

## Accreditation

All our degree programmes are accredited. The Bachelor of Biosciences passed the procedure positively as one of the first at the university within the framework of heiQuality.

## Quality management at faculty level

#### The Deans of Studies

The tasks of the deans of studies include the central concerns of studying and teaching within the faculty.  At least one of the deans of studies is involved in every appointment procedure of the faculty as a voting member, in particular to ensure that the teaching competence of the applicants is taken into account in the decision-making process. A study coordinator is available to support the deans of studies.

#### The Quality Management Officer

The Faculty's Quality Management Commissioner, Dr. Andrea Wolk, coordinates the Faculty's Q+Ampel-procedures and is available to the subjects as a contact person for all questions relating to quality development of studies and teaching. She is the ombudsperson and responsible for all complaints raised by students in the context of evaluation measures.
