BANA is TU Berlin’s innovative continuing education program for people aged 45 and over. The program aims to inform participants about the latest scientific findings and is divided into three areas of focus: the city, the environment, and health and nutrition.

Each semester BANA guest auditors can choose from a variety of seminars and workshops in these three areas. Participants can also register for courses in TU Berlin’s regular course catalogue.

In addition to its focus-specific courses, BANA offers additional courses, for example from science and technology as well as the humanities and social sciences, such as sociology, political science, philosophy, psychology or women's studies, enabling students to apply their newly acquired knowledge to social contexts.

The special aim of BANA is to provide skills for post-professional activities in socially relevant areas, for example for civic engagement in one's own district, in the community, in social institutions or for participation in initiatives and projects.
