Effective 1 January 2018, comprehensive amendments were made to the Act on Protection for Mothers at Work, in Training and in Studies (Maternity Protection Act - MuSchG). It replaced the previous Maternity Protection Act and aims to provide effective maternity protection where measures for protection against health risks conflict with the changed ideas and wishes of women to continue working during pregnancy, after giving birth and while breastfeeding.

Please inform the Betriebsärztlicher Dienst (BÄD) of your pregnancy as soon as possible so that TU Berlin can ensure the protection of both your health and that of your child.
