If you have obtained an international university entrance qualification or a primary university degree, you will need preliminary review documentation ("VPD") from uni-assist to apply to TU Berlin.\ You must then apply via the TU Berlin application portal within the specified deadline using the “VPD”.
What is a Preliminary review documentation ("VPD")?\ A “VPD” is a certificate containing information about the certificates you have submitted to uni-assist, which university admission it enables, and how your grade is converted into the German grading system.
How do I apply for a “VPD”?\ Apply for the “VPD” for TU Berlin at uni-assist as early as possible, as processing your VPD application can take 4 to 6 weeks. You can find the current processing times for uni-assist here.\ You can apply for the “VPD” at any time, regardless of the semester that can be selected at uni-assist.
How long is the “VPD” valid?\ The “VPD” is valid for one year from the date of issue for an application to TU Berlin. \ TU Berlin only accepts “VPD”s that are issued for application to TU Berlin.\ Please note that the semester selection in the uni-assist portal has no effect on the validity of the VPD.
Note on language certificates:\ Uni-assist does not check language certificates for the TU Berlin. These must be uploaded directly to the TU Berlin application portal.
