Appointment procedures at Technische Universität Berlin are fair, transparent, professional, and prompt and uphold the highest quality standards. The appointment handbook brings together recommendations for conducting these procedures and information on the content and formal design of these processes. It is intended for all members of Technische Universität Berlin actively involved in appointment procedures.

It was compiled on the basis of current laws, the Recommendations of the German Council of Science and Humanities on Designing Appointment Procedures (2005) (only in German), the results of the QMS process at Technische Universität Berlin, best practice guidelines of other universities, as well as requirements established in the German Research Foundation’s equal opportunity standards.
