# Astronomy & Astrophysics Group

Welcome to the Astronomy and Astrophysics Group homepage. The group is part of the [SUPA](http://www.supa.ac.uk/) [School of Physics & Astronomy](http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/physics), in the [University of Glasgow](http://www.gla.ac.uk).

The [members of the group](http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/?page_id=32) conduct research in a wide range of topics, including solar and plasma physics, cosmology and radio astronomy.

We offer [undergraduate](http://www.gla.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/astronomy/) and [postgraduate](http://www.gla.ac.uk/postgraduate/taught/astrophysics/)  taught courses as part of the School of Physics & Astronomy, as well as supervising PhD projects – [***see the opportunities we have for PhDs starting in 2026***](https://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/?page_id=52)

We are located in the Kelvin Building on the main University of Glasgow campus but also occupy two observatories: [Acre Road](http://g.co/maps/gj4vk) and [Cochno](http://g.co/maps/pjdg7) on the Kilpatrick Hills.
