Tuition fees: Republic of Ireland students

"I am an Irish citizen, and my home is in the Republic of Ireland.”

If the above statement applies to you then you will probably be classified as Rest of UK (RUK) for fee purposes. For more detail please refer to our Fees Status Policy.

Tuition fees for RUK students for academic year 2026-2027 will be £9,790.

The University Student Contract reserves the right for the University to increase annual tuition fees for RUK students in line with tuition fee caps proposed by the UK government. Further details can be found in Section 6.3 of the Student Contract. Tuition fee increases on this basis are not applicable to students who started their studies before August 2025.

Five-year Modern Language degrees which include a compulsory one-year study abroad have a one-year fee waiver.

You may be entitled to apply to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for a loan to cover the costs of tuition.

Cost of living support may be available from SUSI.
