How do I get a GP with SiO Health?

To switch to a GP in SiO, you must log in to Helsenorge.no and select the doctor you want from the list of GPs.Do you not have a Norwegian identification number or BankID to log into Helse.norge? How do I book a doctor´s appointment?

You must have a GP in SiO to get a doctor's appointment. You can have a video appointment, a physical attendance appointment or a written consultation. You can easily book most appointments yourself via helsenorge.no.

Do you have drop-in?

For sexually transmitted infection self-tests, testing of MRSA, and removal of stitches by a nurse, you don’t need to book an appointment beforehand - you can just come by. [Find your health care center and opening hours for drop-in here](https://ny.sio.no/helse/vare-helsesentre).Sign in at the reception when you arrive, and you will get to talk to a doctor or nurse as soon as they have time. There can be some waiting time.

## Prices and health refund

What is health refund?

You can apply for a refund of healthcare-related expenses with your GP, that exceed 490 NOK per year. This means that you only have to pay a maximum of 490 NOK each year, and that SiO will cover the rest of your expenses.

How to apply for a refund

You can apply for a refund at any time during the entire year. If you are applying for an entire calendar year, the deadline is January 31 the following year. This means that if you are applying for a refund for expenses you have had in 2025, you must submit your application for refund before January 31, 2026.

What do the health services at SiO cost?

We have student-friendly prices for our health services. Additionally, you can apply for a refund for expenses over 490 NOK per year when you have your general practitioner at SiO.

## Dentist offer

Can everyone use SiOs dentists?

All SiO students who have paid semester fees can use our dentists. Remember to bring your student ID to the appointment.

How do I book a dentist´s appointment?

You can easily book an appointment for a check-up [via our booking page](https://siotannlege.opusdentalonline.com/). Choose the dentist or dental hygienist you’d like to have an appointment with and the appointment type “check-up e-appointment”. This means a physical appointment.

Do you have emergency appointments?

Yes, you can book an emergency appointment. Call [22853300](tel: 22853300)at 08.15 exactly to book, and we will try to get you in for an appointment the same day.

How much does it cost to use your dentists?

All our prices are student-friendly. For example, an examination costs just NOK 830, including X-rays, cleaning and plastering.

How much does mental health care at SiO cost?

All of our offers are free, but if you sign up for a course and can't attend and don't cancel, you'll have to pay a fee.
