Students from universities which have an exchange agreement with the University of Oslo (UiO) may spend one or two semesters at UiO as part of their studies.

How to apply
Students coming on exchange must be nominated by their university and then apply before the deadlines: 1 May for the autumn semester and 15 October for the spring semester.

Student housing
Incoming exchange students will be given priority for single student housing if they apply within the deadlines.
Start of the semester
The autumn semester 2026 starts on Monday 10 August with the orientation for new international students.
Courses and documents
At UiO the faculties answer questions about courses and sign/approve Learning Agreements (LA/OLA).
