## Join an association

Can everyone join an association?

All students can join a student association. Many associations are open regardless of where you study, while other associations are associated with a particular place of study or are for students in a particular field of study.

How do I find and join an association?

The best place to start is to check out all the associations out there. [You can check them out in the Association overview](https://sio.no/en/associations/find-your-association). There you will also find contact information for the various associations. At the start of each semester, many arrange open meetings where you, as a newcomer, can come and get to know the association better and what they do.
