## Apply for kindergarten placement

How do I apply for kindergarten placement with SiO?

You apply for a kindergarten place on Oslo Municipality's website. SiO Kindergartens have ongoing admissions throughout the year.

Who can apply?

Anyone can apply for a kindergarten place in SiO, but we prioritize students with children first.

Can I apply for a part-time place?

We only have full-time positions, not part-time positions.

## Our kindergarten offer

What offers do you have for the children in SiO Kindergarten?

We have 10 kindergartens earmarked for children of students. This means that we have a student-tailored offer, which has many advantages and a more extended offer than normal, public kindergartens. We are proud to have a professionally strong offer with experienced and dedicated staff, and not least that parents place us at the top in user surveys - time and time again.

Do the children get food in the kindergarten?

The children receive lunch and drinks in the nursery every day. Monday to Thursday, the children get lunch served by Matibox.no.Student parents who pay semester fees to SiO pay a reduced price for food. Others pay NOK 490 per month.

What are the opening hours?

We are open every weekday from 07.30 – 17.00. The kindergartens are closed on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. At Easter we close at 13.00 on the Wednesday before Maundy Thursday.In July, we have open summer kindergarten for those who need it.

Are you open in the summer?

In July, SIO kindergartens usually are closed in the weeks 27-30.

## Invoice and contract

When do I get my invoice?

The invoice is sent in advance and the invoice date is no later than the last day of the month.The due date is 12 days after you receive the invoice.We will send you an SMS reminder 3 days after the due date.We will then send you a second reminder 7 days after the due date.15 days after due date the invoice will be sent to Kredinor for debt collection notice.

Når er fristen for å søke redusert foreldrebetaling?

Frist for å søke redusert foreldrebetaling for nye søkere er 3 uker etter at du har takket ja til tilbud om plass. Søknad som kommer etter fristen vil være gjeldende fra påfølgende fakturamåned. For de som allerede går i barnehage: Søknad om redusert foreldrebetaling må leveres årlig og senest innen utgangen av juni.

Har dere søskenrabatt?

Vi har søskenrabatt for deg som har flere barn i SiO Barnehage. Du betaler 70% av prisen for det andre barnet og 50% av prisen for barn nummer tre (eller flere barn).

Hvordan sier jeg opp barnehageplassen?

Barnehagene våre har 2 måneders oppsigelse. Skal du si opp plassen, må du gjøre det her for at oppsigelsen skal være gyldig. Følg anvisning for å logge deg inn og foreta oppsigelsen. Husk å si opp før 1. eller 15 i måneden.
