Scholarships
Korea University offers a variety of undergraduate scholarships in recognition of outstanding academic performance. We also understand the challenge of financing your undergraduate studies abroad and think that tuition fee should not be a barrier to your passion to study.\
When and How to apply

※Updated in September 2025. The revised regulations concerning newly admitted students will apply starting from students admitted in March 2026
- Eligibility
Students must have;
- International students (foreign nationality holder) who admitted to KU with international students' qualifications administered by the International Education Team. Therefore, starting from 2022 Fall semester, newly admitted students who acquire Korean nationality while attending school and reflect it in the academic register, may be excluded from the international student scholarship beneficiaries
- Completed at least one semester at KU(However, the High Achievers Scholarship and Challenge Scholarship(A), where the evaluation criteria are GPAs for the last two semesters, should have completed at least two semesters)
- Achieved at least 12 credits in the semester which GPAs are being considered
- No academic warning or no violation of academic regulations in the previous semester
- Application period
- For Spring semester – January
- For Fall semester – July

- Individual Application: Challenge Scholarship(A), Bright Futures Scholarship
- The detailed information will be available at 'Announcements' and on Portal(KUPID) in January for Spring semester and in July for Fall semester

Required documents and proof for the Bright Futures Scholarship, please refer to the notice on the portal. 4. Result - Only the selected recipients would be notified by email from GSC - The value of scholarship would be automatically applied on recipient’s tuition invoice of the following semester. Please print out your tuition invoice and find out.
Things to note
- Scholarships will be awarded within the budget range of KU
- Recipient of the scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fee, should visit Hana bank on campus and make a ‘zero’ deposit during the enrollment period.\
