The UvA wants to be a university where everyone feels at home and feels respected. Diversity and inclusion are important core values for us. We recognise that prejudice, discrimination and racism also occur at the UvA and we pursue an active diversity policy to help reduce inequality, remove barriers and create equal opportunities for everyone.

Policies, programmes and communities

The University of Amsterdam has various initiatives to improve diversity and inclusion at the university.
For students and employees who want to develop their career through a mentor- or talent programme, or who want to deepen their knowledge of diversity and inclusion through a workshop.
It is important to the UvA that all students and staff feel at home within the university. Communities provide an environment where people can come together and share their experiences.

With the Inclusion Calendar, we aim to make campus more aware and inclusive by sharing important days. Sharing these days broadens our horizons.
