Interested in doing an exchange at the University of Amsterdam?

You must be nominated by your home university in order to study at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) on exchange. Contact your home university's exchange or international office for information on how to apply.

Explore your preferred UvA faculty

• Faculty exchange programmes, or Erasmus programmes, are agreements between a UvA faculty and the faculty at a university abroad. Find out more about which opportunities are available per faculty.
• The UvA has agreements with more than 90 universities outside Europe about exchanges: the Global Exchange Programme.

• ESN Amsterdam supports international students with cultural, social events, and UvA orientation.

• Find contact information of the Office of International Student Affairs (BIS), the various Faculty International Offices, UvA Student Services, and our social media.

• Starting a new study in a different city is thrilling. The UvA offers services to aid your transition, including assistance with visas, insurance, and housing.
