# Strikes FNV at the UvA

The FNV has announced strikes at the UvA on 9, 10, 11, and 12 December. Updates about the strikes can be found here.

The FNV is organising these actions in response to the expiration of [an ultimatum regarding adjustments to house rules and collaboration with external organisations](https://www.uva.nl/en/content/news/news/2024/12/fnv-ultimatum-possible-actions.html "https://www.uva.nl/en/content/news/news/2024/12/fnv-ultimatum-possible-actions.html"). According to the FNV, the strikes will be peaceful in nature.

On Monday and Thursday, actions will take place at the Roeterseiland Campus (REC), on Tuesday at the P.C. Hoofthuis, and on Wednesday at Science Park. A demonstration and march have been announced for Thursday afternoon at the REC.

The actions are expected to cause some disruption. The FNV, as the organiser, has established a stewarding service. The UvA will monitor the situation throughout the week and deploy additional staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.
