Our world is regularly confronted with complex, societal issues. As a leading, international university the UvA aims to provide a valuable contribution to tackling these problems. To do this, we are working collaboratively on various thematic topics, both within and outside the UvA. In addition, we are continually investing in research and education at a top level, as well as the UvA's standing as an attractive employer. Our Strategic Plan outlines how we will realise these ambitions among various others.
From strategy to practice
- Our academics from various disciplines and faculties are formulating unexpected research questions on socially relevant themes and incorporating these in teaching.
- In line with the UvA Strategic Plan, each faculty draws up a Faculty Strategic Plan (FSP). In the FSP, the faculty outlines its plans for the coming period.
- The UvA’s success depends on our employees and their unique knowledge, talents and motivation. This means that the university will strive to make working at the UvA as attractive, challenging and safe as possible.
- The digital agenda gives direction to the development of digitisation at the UvA. The agenda is intended as a source of inspiration, ambition and navigation tool.
