### UvA campuses

The UvA has four campuses located across Amsterdam. Some classes are in quaint old buildings overlooking the canals, others in high-tech laboratories.

### Library and study centres

Apart from the large central University Library (UB) in the city centre, there are several faculty libraries, and together they hold around four million volumes and a large collection of manuscripts.

On campuses, there are plenty places to study, in study centres or otherwise.

### Sports and Culture

Archery, boxing, bouldering, speed skating, water polo: the **University Sports Centre** (USC) offers students a great variety of sports at discount rates. The main building Universum has a large gym, a climbing wall, squash courts and other facilities.

**CREA** is the UvA’s **cultural centre** and a great place to meet creative minds. There are courses in music, fine arts, dance, writing, media. CREA and the CREA café are located right in the middle of the Roeterseiland Campus.

### **Studying wit**h **a disability**

The UvA would like students to develop themselves in a stimulating and pleasant setting. In case you have a disability, dyslexia or chronic illness, special adjustments and support might be needed.

Every campus has a central ‘Base’ meeting place in the heart of the campus, with different food vendors and additional amenities where appropriate.

Amsterdam has a thriving student community with various student associations. There are plenty of organisations and activities for students to participate in alongside their studies.
