# Study certificate

## How do I get my certificate of enrolment?

1. **1. log in to AGNES**\
   Log in to [AGNES](https://agnes.hu-berlin.de/lupo/rds?state=user&type=0) with your access data. You will need your HU account for this.
2. **2. select certificates**\
   Search in the menu for the item "certificates" or "study certificates".
3. **3. download the certificate**\
   Here you can download the current certificate of enrolment or save it as a PDF file.

## What is the certificate of enrolment needed for?

The certificate of enrolment is official proof of your enrolment and is often required for various purposes, e.g. for health insurance, BAföG or the Bahncard.

## Older study certificates

While you can download current certificates of enrolment yourself in AGNES, you must contact the [Enrolment Office](https://www.hu-berlin.de/en/study/service/enrolment-office#c6686) for older certificates.
