## Important answers to your application
This information is aimed at prospective students who have acquired their entrance qualification outside Germany. Depending on which degree programme you are interested in, the admission regulations, application deadlines and conditions may differ.
### What study programmes are available?
Please check in advance which [degree programmes](https://www.hu-berlin.de/en/study/study-programme) Humboldt-Universität offers. For the subject Medicine, please contact the [Charité](https://www.charite.de/studium_lehre "Charité"). You are welcome to contact the [faculty's student counselling](https://hu.berlin/sfb "Studienfachberatung Übersicht") service directly if you have any questions about the content of the degree programme
### What do I need to consider before applying?
If you have already obtained a Bachelor's degree in Germany, you can check which application route is relevant for you in the [application check](https://hu.berlin/bewerbungscheck/ "Bewerbungscheck"). If you are not sure about your self-assignment, please contact us during [the consultation hours for prospective international students](https://www.international.hu-berlin.de/de/studierende/aus-dem-ausland/studium-mit-abschluss-an-der-hu#:~:text=Internationale%20Studieninteressierte%20k%C3%B6nnen%20sich%20in%20der%20Erstberatung%20auf,Bewerbungsmodalit%C3%A4ten%20an%20der%20Humboldt-Universit%C3%A4t%20zu%20Berlin%20beraten%20lassen. "Erstberatung") .
### Where and how do I apply?
### Application via uni-assist
Please complete the application form for admission to a degree programme for international applicants online in the [application portal "My uni-assist"](https://my.uni-assist.de/ "Bewerbungspotal MyAssist").
### Which documents do I have to submit?
1. Your application must be submitted online to uni-assist with all necessary application documents (PDF files) in accordance with the application deadline for the chosen degree programme.
2. Please scan and upload all required documents - original documents - as PDF files in the application portal "My uni-assist". If you do not have any originals to hand, please upload officially certified copies as original documents (all pages). Language certificates must also be uploaded as PDF documents (originals).
3. If your documents can be verified online, you will provide uni-assist with all the means to carry out the online verification. This means that the information on how online verification can be carried out should either be provided on the documents themselves or enclosed in a separate letter. It is sufficient to upload all this information to the "My assist" application portal.
### What should I bear in mind?
If the original documents are not in German or English, please also scan and upload an official translation of the documents as a PDF file in the "My assist" application portal. Translations from your home country must be produced by a state-authorised translator or translation agency. Translations can also be prepared by a [sworn interpreter or translator authorised](http://www.gerichtsdolmetscherverzeichnis.de/ "Dolmetscher") in the [Federal Republic of Germany](http://www.gerichtsdolmetscherverzeichnis.de/ "Dolmetscher"). Information on the required translation can also be found on the [uni-assist website](https://www.uni-assist.de/bewerben/dokumente-sammeln/beglaubigungen-uebersetzungen/ "Hinweise").
Which documents are important for your application depends on the country in which you obtained your qualifications. It is therefore essential that you read the special [country information from uni-assist](https://www.uni-assist.de/tools/laenderhinweise/ "Länderhinweise").
### Are there exceptions to the uni-assist procedure?
