# Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Albrecht Daniel Thaer-Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences

Dear international students,\
We warmly welcome you as exchange students at our Faculty of
Agriculture and Horticulture.\

In order to enrol at Humboldt University you have to apply for a
study place at Humboldt’s in the framework of a programme ([ERASMUS](http://www.aia.hu-berlin.de/int/erasmus), [university partnership](http://www.aia.hu-berlin.de/int/unipart)). Detailed information on
the application procedure and guidance on the preparation of your stay
in Berlin is provided at the Internet site of our International
Relations Office. Please take note of the [German language requirements](http://www.aia.hu-berlin.de/int/erasmus/bewerb).

***Semester dates:*** \
**Winter semester:** 1 October – 31 March\
Lecture period: Mid October through end of February, to be followed by
two weeks of examinations. \
**Summer semester:** 1 April – 30 September\
Lecture period:Mid April through end of July, to be followed by two
weeks of examinations. \

If the sending university has a bilateral agreement with our Agric
Faculty, exchange students should to select courses from the course
offer of our Agric Faculty. Please note that we cannot confirm courses
given at other Faculties.
