Club Lise is the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin mentoring program to promote scientific and engineering interests among female pupils in class 10 and above.

Club Lise was founded in 2005 as a cross-cultural EU project and primarily helps female pupils with an immigration background to make their study choices. The Club Lise mentors, all women from the scientific and engineering fields, offer authentic insight into their relevant subject areas and their daily professional lives.

Outside of regular lesson times, Club Lise pupils can take advantage of the following free of charge:

Workshops on choosing a course of study,
Group mentoring: Club Lise pupils together visit mentors at their places of work,
One-to-one mentoring: through individual meetings with mentors and internships, this provides more in-depth insight into a scientific or engineering subject area,
Project work: together with mentors, pupils can work on scientific projects which are presented at the Department of Physics and potentially in schools as a special assignment,
Involvement in special events such as the Long Night of Sciences and Girls’ Day.\

Pupils are given a certificate for regular participation and for preparing and presenting project work.
